Glucose Test - mission accomplished:-)

Soooo.....you're supposedly due for your glucose test between 24 and 28 weeks.  Well, the Dr. kind of forgot to mention this to me, until I asked him at the 30 week appointment -- whoops!!  I'm glad Kelly mentioned this to me or else I would have not known.  Pretty simple - you chug a cup full of sugar water, wait one hour and then get some blood work taken.  The problem is that the last time blood was taken, I managed to pass out while humming to Hugh and ended up in a hospital bed with wet rags and many nurses looking overhead.  I asked Hugh to come to this appointment too -- just in case it happened again.  I got to the hospital and they too forgot about me:-(  After 30 mins, I went to the receptionist and she apologized over and over.  Finally, I filled out the paperwork and begin to chug the 'oh so delicious' orange sugar water.  The first few sips tasted like a melted popsicle -- not too bad, I thought.  However, the full glass was quite rough.  The crazy part is that you hype yourself on massive amounts of sugar and then they want you to sit there and patiently wait for one hour.  I wanted to run sprints around the hospital to burn off a little energy.  Finally, an hour later the male nurse called me back.  I reminded him of the episode from May when I passed out, so he decided to let me lay down and then draw the blood.  Only 2 vials this time -- not as bad and the four from before.  He was finished, I laid there for about 5 minutes drinking fully leaded Gatorade (not Powerade  Zero) and felt fine.  Phew!!!  Blood work #2  = success.  Now, I have to wait for the results.  Assuming they come in fine, I shouldn't have any more blood work, but if there are any concerns, it's back for round three.
